More Bulletin Board Quotes about Learning

“The school should always have as its aim that the young leave it as a harmonious personality, not as a specialist…The development of general ability for independent thinking and judgment should always be placed foremost, not the acquisition of special knowledge.” – Albert Einstein

“Universal suffrage, without universal education, would be a curse.” – H.L. Wayland

“Do not ask if a man has been through college; ask if a college has been through him–if he is a walking university.” – E.H. Chapin

“If you would thoroughly know anything, teach it to others.” – Tyron Edwards

“Nothing is interesting if you are not interested.” – Helen MacInness

“The mind is but a barren soil…unless it be continually fertilized and enriched with foreign matter.” – Sir J. Reynolds
