If you haven&#8217;t tried it yet, sign up today. It&#8217;s free, and you&#8217;ll be amazed by the number of fascinating, useful sites it will direct you to (and by how much time you can waste discovering them). Here are 6 sites that I&#8217;ve Stumbled Upon lately that I think are valuable for teachers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.colindunbar.com\/two-wolves.html\">Two Wolves<\/a> &#8211; A powerful Cherokee story to share with your students<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nanowrimo.org\/\">NaNoWriMo<\/a>: National Novel Writing Month &#8211; Every November people all over the world try to write a 50,000 word novel from scratch in 30 days. Why not encourage your students to participate this year? Why not try it yourself?<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.murphys-laws.com\/murphy\/murphy-teaching.html\">Murphy&#8217;s Teaching Laws<\/a> &#8211; For example, &#8220;The time a teacher takes in explaining is inversely proportional to the information retained by students.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.instructables.com\/\">Instructables<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.instructables.com\/\"> &#8211; How to make cool DIY projects<\/a> &#8211; Great if you teach science.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.insidecrm.com\/archive2\/2007\/04\/leadership_101_.html\">Leadership 101: How to Command Respect through Body Language<\/a> &#8211; I&#8217;ll be using this later in the year when we get to our public speaking unit.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.how-to-study.com\/\">How-to-Study.com: A Study Skills Resource Site<\/a> &#8211; Nothing ground-breaking here, but it&#8217;s nice to have all of these study skills in one place.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve come across so many great sites using StumbleUpon.
