Fortunately, the Daughters of St. Paul have been working to provide you with resources.  The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.daughtersofstpaul.com\/mediastudies\/index.html\">Pauline Center for Media Studies<\/a> began in 1995 to &#8220;encourage and promote Media Mindfulness within the context of culture, education and faith formation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Center offers teachers several important media literacy resources:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.daughtersofstpaul.com\/mediastudies\/reviews\/index.html\">Film Essays and Reviews<\/a>: Over forty essays about faith and film, including several discussion guides that could be used with students.  Movies discussed include <em>Prince Caspian<\/em>, <em>The Golden Compass<\/em>, <em>Cinderella Man<\/em>, <em>Hotel Rwanda<\/em>, <em>Bruce Almighty<\/em>, <em>The Da Vinci Code<\/em>, <em>Fargo<\/em> and <em>The Village<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.daughtersofstpaul.com\/mediastudies\/churchdocs\/index.html\">Church Documents on Media<\/a>: A convenient list of church statements regarding various issues in media<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.daughtersofstpaul.com\/mediastudies\/mediacatechesis\/index.html\">Media, Catechesis and Preaching<\/a>: A short but impressive set of catechetical resources<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>I&#8217;m also intrigued by Pauline&#8217;s series of books, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/081984490X?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=nickslists-20&amp;link_code=as3&amp;camp=211189&amp;creative=373489&amp;creativeASIN=081984490X\"><em>Lights, Camera, Faith! A Movie Lover&#8217;s Guide to Scripture<\/em><\/a>. Peter Malone and Sr. Rose Pacatte use movies to illuminate the meanings of the Sunday lectionary readings. Each book takes a different year in the cycle of readings, with a fourth volume that uses movies to explicate the ten commandments:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/081984490X?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=nickslists-20&amp;link_code=as3&amp;camp=211189&amp;creative=373489&amp;creativeASIN=081984490X\">Lights, Camera, Faith! Cycle B<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0819845019?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=nickslists-20&amp;link_code=as3&amp;camp=211189&amp;creative=373489&amp;creativeASIN=0819845019\">Lights, Camera, Faith! Cycle C<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0819845205?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=nickslists-20&amp;link_code=as3&amp;camp=211189&amp;creative=373489&amp;creativeASIN=0819845205\">Lights, Camera, Faith! The Ten Commandments<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>They appear to be excellent resources for youth groups or even adult formation classes.
