The ACRE is a faith assessment tool used by many schools across the United States to strengthen their catechetical programs.  These new game modules are intended to &#8220;promote internalizing faith facts.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The modules themselves are not expensive&#8211;about $30 each.  One cartridge is for Grade 5, the other is for Grades 8-9.  However, to use the cartridges, a school must purchase the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B000EEX7FM?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=nickslists-20&amp;link_code=as3&amp;camp=211189&amp;creative=373489&amp;creativeASIN=B000EEX7FM\">Classroom Jeopardy System<\/a>, which was selling for $419 on Amazon.com as of this writing.  The system includes wireless player remotes, a scoreboard, and hardware for using the cartridges.<\/p>\n<p>If the Jeopardy system is beyond your school&#8217;s budget, you might have your students try Pflaum&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pflaum.com\/jeopardy\/cathjeop.htm\">online Catholic Jeopardy<\/a>. The questions are generally well written, and probably most appropriate for students in grades 3-8.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_283\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-283\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-283\" title=\"Catholic Jeopardy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nicksenger.com\/csc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/02\/picture-42-150x150.png\" alt=\"Catholic Jeopardy!\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-283\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Catholic Jeopardy!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>One question bothered me, though: &#8220;People often hold hands during this prayer, signifying their unity as Children of God.&#8221;  The answer is The Lord&#8217;s Prayer, but since this isn&#8217;t an official part of the liturgical rubrics, I don&#8217;t think it belongs in a Catholic assessment tool.
