Here’s a prayer from the back of a holy card<\/a> that you might wish to share with your school community:<\/p>\n

\"HolyHeavenly Father,
\nit is symptomatic of our life today
\nthat economics play a large part in it.
\nPeople labor zealously for a wage
\nso that they can acquire the needs of life.<\/p>\n

They also work for
\nthe so-called luxuries of life,
\nfor the opportunity to have more leisure
\nto develop themselves in ways,
\nand to keep up with
\ntheir particular state of life.<\/p>\n

Right now,
\nI find myself in a bad economic condition.
\nI just cannot seem to make enough money
\nto meet my obligations.
\nPlease help me in this dangerous situation.<\/p>\n

Teach me to live within my means
\nwhile at the same time
\nstriving to increase those means.
\nLet me never lose heart
\nbut continue to press on.<\/p>\n

Most of all, inspire me
\nto seek first Your kingdom
\nin the knowledge that everything else
\nwill be given me together with it.
\nIn Jesus Christ’s name I pray,
\nwho lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit
\nOne God
