Deacon Nick

Nick Senger is a husband, a father of four, a Roman Catholic deacon and a Catholic school principal. He taught junior high literature and writing for over 25 years, and has been a Catholic school educator since 1990. In 2001 he was named a Distinguished Teacher of the Year by the National Catholic Education Association.

  1. Thanks for the shout-out! I’ll be reading today, and thinking about those connections to our real world. I think that’s part of what drew me to this challenge: lots of people think that reading fiction is just about frivolity and escapism, but a book like Les Misérables is a deep reflection of our world and the people in it, challenging us all to do better. That kind of reading has always been important to me.
